I've followed Mimi Jung of Brook & Lyn for a little while now. Her jewelry is beautiful and relatively affordable. Apparently the band Yacht is a fan of her work. I'm a huge fan and can't wait to see how her work progresses.

Earrings are normally an after thought for me. I have had my ears pierced twice and wear earrings so infrequently that they've closed up both times. I would gladly pierce my ears for a third time if someone gave me these amazing earrings. Arielle De Pinto's jewelry is easily some of my favorite out there.

George Nelson exhibit at Bellevue Arts Museum

George Nelson was an icon of mid-century modern design. His work continues to inspire artists and designers today. Bellevue Arts Museum is currently exhibiting an amazing array of his work. I got the first hand that this exhibit is not to be missed.

MGMT "All We Ever Wanted Was Everything"

New Zealand-based animator Ned Wenlock made this video for MGMT's cover of Bauhaus' song "All We Ever Wanted Was Everything". MGMT recently played shows at the Guggenheim in conjunction with the Maurizio Cattelan exhibit. MGMT are a favorite here at We Love Art & Design. If they're trying to become the go-to band for the world's art and design community— their plan is working.

Scuba at Rare Device

This Friday is the opening of the new show by art collaborative SCUBA at Rare Device in San Francisco. I am very excited to see what they've come up with. Come by and say hello and check out some great work. I'll be there. 

EAMES: The Architect and the Painter, A Documentary About American Designers Charles & Ray Eames

EAMES: The Architect and the Painter is a documentary film that chronicles the lives of prolific American designers, Charles and Ray Eames. Jason Cohn and Bill Jersey directed EAMES which will air Monday, December 19, 2011 on American Masters on PBS. It is also being shown at several in limited runs at movie houses throughout the United States and the DVD is available for pre-order.
