Someguy

The work of someguy is thought provoking. A reader recently introduced me to his work. It makes me think about the work of Mark Lombardi (although they are working in very different styles). Would you consider someguy a Neo-conceptualist?

Happy Birthday to Deth P. Sun - new work up

Today is the birthday of one of our local favorites Deth P. Sun. It seems like the perfect time to share some of the new work he's done this year. Check out his website and while you're there buy something from his nifty online shop.

They are Full of Holy Nonsense - John Patrick McKenzie at Creativity Explored

John Patrick McKenzie

I adore Creativity Explored. If you don't already know what they do go here to learn more.
April 28th is the opening for one of their most prolific artists John Patrick McKenzie. I first saw his work a few years ago when I went to my first opening at Creativity Explored. I highly recommend the chance to see his first solo show.

Cam Floyd

I’m really impressed with Cam Floyd’s illustration. It makes sense that he’s currently assisting James Jean. They both use their technical skill to make the world a more imaginative place. Floyd’s still young, just out of MICA’s excellent undergraduate illustration program. It’ll be fun to see what he does next.
