I'm late to the game on this one. I couple of months ago I was walking down the street in the Mission District in San Francisco and walked past The Thing. It was filled with boxes that simply said, "The Thing Issue 14 James Franco". Now I'm not a huge fan of James Franco nor am I someone that has a large amount of disdain for the man. I am in awe of his ability to take on so much at once but that's about the end of my feelings. I thought the space looked really cool but was perplexed by all the James Franco boxes. Until today. I finally looked up what that little storefront on 20th St is really about. My jaw dropped and if I was drinking something I would have done a spit take.
The Thing Quartely is according to their website "a periodical in the form of an object. It's like a magazine, except that each issue is conceived of by a different contributor and then published on a useful object."
Go check it out yourself. I am in LOVE with this idea.
