New shows at Jonathan Levine

Two of my personal favorites Josh Keyes and Doze Green will be showing at Jonathan Levine Gallery; opening is Saturday night.

Lisa Brawn

Lisa is an artist from Calgary, Alberta, who makes woodcuts using salvaged hundred year old Douglas fir. She doesn't make prints from them, as she prefers the blocks themselves. They are bright, graphic, post-Pop portraits in series. She has an upcoming show starting Feb 13th at Yard Dog gallery in Austin.

I gave away my heart...

I gave away my heart for Christmas. With Valentine's day coming up, why not give yours away too? Batteries not Included on Etsy have these great stuffed hearts in red for the romantics and black for the goth kids.

James Marshall (aka Dalek) show in NYC

James Marshall is one of my favorite artists. He currently has a solo show at Jonathan Levine. If you can't make it to NY for the show, check out his work on their site.

Mel's blog

Speaking of LA, check out my friend Melanie's blog. I love her style and am so excited to see what she brings to her blog.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a safe and fabulous New Year's Eve. I was in LA. I have to admit, it's starting to become a second home. I love and miss my friends there. Leaving was so much harder this time.
So, what are your resolutions? I normally don't really have any. This year I have two. I promise to be better about posting in 2010. The other is a secret that I'll probably be posting more about later in the year.
